ON THE HOUSE    Friendly reminders to our residents

Be sure to use a strainer over the drain to keep foreign objects out of the kitchen disposal. Feed garbage in gradually along with lots of COLD water and let it run for at least one minute to clear the disposal and drain. Don`t put shrimp shells, raw or cooked meat, onion or potato skins, corncobs, peach/plum pits, coffee grounds, bones or celery and most importantly, NO GREASE! If the disposal suddenly stops and makes a terrible noise, TURN IT OFF IMMEDIATLEY! Use a pair of tongs to retrieve whatever has fallen in. Push the reset button (usually a small red button located on the bottom of the disposal) and try to run it again. If you follow these simple steps, it may save yourself a costly service call.

DID YOU KNOW...

If you shake a little baking soda onto your pet`s coat, brush it through and out, you`ll notice less dander and pet hair inside your home! The reason: The sodium bicarbonate in baking soda balances skin`s pH levels, reducing flakiness and hair loss.
